The author’s interest in law enforcement began during his time at Oregon State University when he worked summers for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in commercial fisheries enforcement in Alaska. This led to a job as a game warden for the Oregon State Police.

The author worked as a patrol officer with the Berkeley, CA Police Department in the late 60s and began a formal study of Criminology at the University of California at Berkeley.

He taught various Criminology courses at Sacramento City College throughout the 70s. He was on the pulse of the Sacramento scene while the string of rapes began to unfold. He taught several students who returned from serving in the Vietnam War, and they demonstrated various levels of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Wilson believes that the EAR fit this description.

Wilson holds a BS in Wildlife Management from Oregon State and a Masters in Criminology from UC Berkeley.

Wilson's professional experience also includes

teaching biology to at-risk youth at an inner city high school,

and Administration of Justice at the college level.

WILSON OPENLY WELCOMES all questions, comments or other correspondence, and very much enjoys hearing from veterans and their families regarding Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Contact him here   -------------------->
